As web designers, we have a lot of competition in this space. All of them are using cold email to generate leads. So you have to set yourself apart from the competition with a no-brainer offer and high-value CTAs that are hard for competitors to use at scale.

Our primary CTA was, “Mind if I send a short loom video going over how we can do this for you?”. It’s a simple, low commitment CTA, and they only need to reply with yes or no.

Loom video framework for web design

Our videos are concise and straight to the point. They focus on what will interest them the most, which are:

  1. How can they make more money?
  2. How can they improve their brand's authority?

By focusing on these two points, we created a templated approach loom video that we can adjust to the client. This makes it personalized and scalable to a certain degree.

Additionally, we keep them under 5 minutes, and if they watch it at 1.5x speed, they can finish it in ~3 minutes.

  2. What is their overall UX like, and how easy is it for the visitor to take action?
  3. How is their design doing compared to their direct competitors?

It takes about 20min of research, and 1~2 takes to complete the video. So in total, it takes ~30min to shoot one video.
